About Chautauqua Isle of Lights

Well Imagine that but 10x more with all the local lights displays at Chautauqua Isle of Lights in Mitchell county.For over 22+ years, the community of Beloit KS has put together one of the biggest outdoor Christmas light displays in Kansas with over 280+ light displays. In 1999 Isle of Lights was established in the Chautauqua Park in Beloit. The park is kind of shaped like a horse shoe surrounded by the Solomon river where the roadway is lit up and you can enter and exit with your vehicle.Family and friends who tag along with you on the ride will be able to view all the exquisite displays that the Christmas Spirit is all about. You won't only just find Santa Claus arriving in his slay, you see him cursing on his motor cycle, hanging with the elves, waving hello as you pass by and even taking pictures. The park will be sectioned off with all the varieties of iconic and classic displays ranging from religious displays to a winter wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Toyland, Antique Vehicles, Farm Machinery, candy canes, penguins, tin man, as well as having humorous and thought provoking displays and much more.Each year there are over 18,000 people from over 168 Kansas towns, 40 states and 11 foreign countries that come to visit Chautauqua Isle of Lights and the magical beauty it entails. What makes Chautauqua Isle of Lights so unique is that each and every light display was purchased by local businesses, individuals and organizations with a story behind each one that represents someone in years past or something that made an impact on the surrounding local communities.
